Clean Wash Reverse Graffiti Edinburgh Campaign for Juniper

juniper_street_reverse_graffiti

Green Ape are delighted to introduce Juniper to the streets of Edinburgh.  Juniper is a lovely new bar (with sister restaurant) soon to launch on Edinburgh’s Princes Street.  As the bar is hidden away off the beaten bar track, they’ve commissioned Green Ape to deploy some clean power wash graffiti across certain key areas in Edinburgh to launch a unique awareness campaign.  Keep your eyes peeled around Scotland’s capital city for their unique “J” branding – coming to a dirty pavement near you!

Reverse Graffiti is a great clean green graffiti technique for environmentally friendly street advertising that is incredibly unique.  The process? We use our state of the art petrol engined power wash sprays to literally clean a stencil impression on a dirty pavement slab or wall.  We’re also doing our bit to clean the streets of Edinburgh! 😉

Chalk graffiti campaign for Spraffl at the Edinburgh Fringe

This is our second campaign for Spraffl: the world’s first fully geo local anonymous social network.  If you haven’t downloaded the free Spraffl app yet, then get on it – the perfect tool for making anonymous recommendations and reviews (perfect of course for the Edinburgh fringe Festival that has launched this week).

Chalk street graffiti advertising in Edinburgh

We’ve been placing some chalk-based biodegradable street advertising across several heavy footfall areas within Scotland’s capital.  The great thing about chalk is that you’re not reliant on any specific street surface (providing it’s fairly clean and flat).  Obviously chalk street graffiti advertising last for different durations depending on footfall and how often the street is cleaned.  Chalk is a great environmentally friendly street advertising technique and can be available across several colours.

Do it yourself with a Reverse Graffiti pen

What is reverse graffiti? well, essentially reverse graffiti works by cleaning a bit of dirt away from a dirty area to reveal an imprint.  Whilst our street advertising technique is to power wash through a metal stencil, there’s a DIY alternative for those who have always wanted to graffiti but can’t be bothered to break the law.

Grime Writer Reverse Graffiti Pen

Say hello to the Grime Writer – it’s a felt tip pen that uses soapy water instead of ink.  Just write on a dirty wall and hey presto, you’ve left a clean imprint which hasn’t broken the law.  You’ve also done your bit for cleaning up the streets in your local community – dammit, you deserve a bleedin’ medal!

For a street ad campaign however, we’d always recommend our power wash reverse graffiti street ad mechanism.

Spraffl kicks off the Edinburgh debate using Reverse Graffiti

spraffl_mass_debate

Green Ape have recently had lots of fun working with the anonymous social networking app, Spraffl.  The smart phone app allows people to post messages geotagged by location where any other user can read and comment.  It’s a great tool that allows people to essentially instantly create their own network with others around them without being connected to them on the likes of Facebook and Twitter. It’s also group moderated so that idiots won’t contaminate the content with crap.

So we’ve been working with the Spraffl guys applying some nice little reverse graffiti spots across Scotland’s capital city, Edinburgh. We placed their “please mass debate here” ads across 30 strategic locations around the city, encouraging people to join in the anonymous debate.  As the URL is linked to a trackable campaign, Spraffl have been incredibly impressed by the response they received from reverse graffiti power wash street advertising.  They found it to be far more effective than other forms of ads they tried out across the city.

We’re looking forward to working with Spraffl again over the Fringe festival to see if we can muster up some Fringe activity.

The app is free so if you haven’t tried it, check it out

What is Moss eco-graffiti?

moss_graffiti

Imagine your own living, breathing, growing bio graffiti.  Well that’s essentially what moss graffiti is.  We apply a special mix of moss paint over an area where upon a moss area will begin to grow.  The spot would need to be maintained every now and then (ie watered in dry seasons).  The end result is one of bio-beauty!

Moss bio adverts are usually recommended in single spots and make ideal unique signage.  Contact Green Ape for more info and pricing for bio moss street advertising…
