What better way to promote the Scottish Half Marathon to runners?

Green Ape were put to good use yet again by the lovely folk at GSi Events to help promote the Scottish Half Marathon. The event organisers were keen to promote the Half Marathon in the lead up – and what better way to attract the attention of runners than to advertise directly on the route of popular jogging spots across Edinburgh?!

Using our unique temporary bio paint, several spots across the Capital were deployed by the Green Ape ops team. Take a look at a few of the results…

Edinburgh Film Festival Walk of Fame

Green Ape were delighted to be commissioned by the Edinburgh International Film Festival to deploy a Walk of Fame, showcasing a selection of this year’s visiting actors and actresses.

10 chalk impressions have been laid down on Edinburgh’s Lothian Road, leading up to the Edinburgh Film Festival headquarters and it’s not just the A-list celebrity names that make the impression – the striking use of vibrant red and white eco-chalk paint can’t be missed and have caused a lot of social media buzz!

As with all of our Green Ape environmentally-friendly street advertising commissions, each and every impression will completely vanish at the end of the campaign, leaving no trace of the street ads.

The Edinburgh Film Festival kicks off Wednesday 17th June running through until 28th June.

Dave Fringe Street Advertising: Comedy On The Streets

Another successful Edinburgh street advertising campaign deployed by the Green Ape Street Advertising Professionals.  We were delighted to have teamed up with the TV channel Dave during this year’s Edinburgh Fringe.  Dave run an annual “Joke of the Fringe” contest and this year they wanted to spread the jokes further afield by imprinting them onto the streets of Edinburgh.  The top ten jokes were imprinted across the whole of Scotland’s capital using our Green Ape non-permananet environmentally friendly chalk paint lay-down technique.  The end result was an eye catching collection of hilarious jokes paved outside the festival hot spots.

As with all of our street advertising campaigns, The street impressions all disappeared at the end of the Festival leaving no trace and no mess.

paint_street_advertising

The Green Ape team are very proud to have been commissioned to lay down a new Christmas chalk street advertising campaign for Edinburgh’s West End Association.  Freshly laid this week, just in time for all the festivities in the area.

The Green Ape street advertising specialists have used a durable bio-degradable chalk paint to lay down West End logos with arrows and foot prints to pave the way to all the local shops and cafes.  Using striking white and red specialist paints you can’t fail to notice the markings.

Many thanks to all the team behind West End Association for commissioning another successful Green Ape Edinburgh street advertising campaign.

A green press launch for Grow Wild

Green Ape Graffiti are delighted to have played a part in the official press launch for “Grow wild”.  The Grow Wild initiative aims to bring inspirational wildlife spaces across the UK with four initial sites across England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Chalk_Graffiti_Wall_Advert

Green Ape worked with the Big Partnership to create a biodegradable chalk backdrop for the official Grow wild photo press launch today in Glasgow. Using our organic chalk mix, some pretty sophisticated poly-carbon cutting and a little magic from our street team, we left an 8 foot square logo impression to get the launch off to a “blooming” good start…

Why Green Street Advertising?

We’ve only been officially active as Green Ape Graffiti for a few weeks and we’re delighted to report that business has been great – we’re finding a huge demand for our eco-friendly promotion across Edinburgh and the rest of the UK.  But why is Green graffiti street advertising becoming such a popular alternative to generic street advertising?  Well for one thing, it’s unique – you see so many posters and street A-board advertising outside most shop fronts these days, it’s not easy to make your street campaign stand out among the bland sea of A1s.

moss_advertising

There are several methods of non-permanent street advertising and here at Green Ape we make a stand for advertising that is green, biodegradable and eco-friendly graffiti advertising.  Take Reverse Graffiti.  Reverse graffiti is essentially a stencil imprint power washed onto a dirty surface to leave a clean street stencil impression.  Depending on how dirty the surroundings are, and on the amount foot fall the surface incurs, this form of unique street advertising can stay visible for months.  But it does have its limitations – you require a surface that can actually be cleaned in the first place.  Granite for example doesn’t clean up effectively, and some of the cheap concrete paving slabs we see around town are designed to never really change colour form a permanent state of scuff.  We at Green Ape are experts at identifying the perfect areas for Reverse wash graffiti so if you’re interested in trying some really unique green street advertising, allow us to be of service.

Then there’s chalk advertising.  The great thing about chalk is that you can apply it on almost any surface regardless of material, dirt or foot fall.  We use a unique biodegradable chalk spray that will fade and disappear in time but will stay visible for a few weeks.  Chalk is an ideal substance for fortnightly-monthly  unique street advertising campaigns.

Want to try something really different?  Then why not go for living, breathing and eh… well growing graffiti… Moss Graffiti advertising.  OK so it’s not the most simple form of street advertising to create and deploy but if prepared in the right place with the right maintenance, you’ll have something that truly stands out.

So give up the A-board and choose a really creative head-turning alternative to street advertising.  And yep, we’re at your service to deploy it for you.

Chalk graffiti campaign for Spraffl at the Edinburgh Fringe

This is our second campaign for Spraffl: the world’s first fully geo local anonymous social network.  If you haven’t downloaded the free Spraffl app yet, then get on it – the perfect tool for making anonymous recommendations and reviews (perfect of course for the Edinburgh fringe Festival that has launched this week).

Chalk street graffiti advertising in Edinburgh

We’ve been placing some chalk-based biodegradable street advertising across several heavy footfall areas within Scotland’s capital.  The great thing about chalk is that you’re not reliant on any specific street surface (providing it’s fairly clean and flat).  Obviously chalk street graffiti advertising last for different durations depending on footfall and how often the street is cleaned.  Chalk is a great environmentally friendly street advertising technique and can be available across several colours.
